His father Ravi Krishnamurthy is a software architect who played club-level cricket in his hometown Bangalore before settling in New Zealand. Rachin developed a passion for playing cricket at a young age and has been consistent throughout his career.

Career

Rachin Ravindra was part of New Zealand’s squads for the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup and the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He was part of New Zealand’s squads for the 2023 Cricket World Cup. Following the conclusion of the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup, the International Cricket Council (ICC) named Ravindra as the rising star of the squad.
