Reno Omokri, a former presidential aide and popular social media commentator has stated that the former governor of Lagos state, Babatunde Fashola and the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) believe that Nigerians are idiots.
Speaking via his official Twitter handle on Monday, Omokri stated that this is so because in 2014, when the price of crude oil collapsed, APC members asked the president of the time, Goodluck Jonathan to reduce fuel cost, but now that a similar scenario is currently playing, they are asking Nigerians for understanding.
He wrote:
“This is what @TundeFashola and the @OfficialAPCNg said in 2014 when the price of crude collapsed. They asked then President @GEJonathan to reduce fuel costs.
Today, they ask Nigerians for ‘understanding’.
You can see that these people believe you are idiots!”
